Vivek Oberoi will feature alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty in the Indian Police Force show, who will also essay the role of a cop.

Vivek Oberoi has joined Rohit Shetty’s debut online series, Indian Police Force, after Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty. He released a still from the programme that showed him in the thick of things. In a khaki uniform, the actor is seen charging his gun in the thick of a conflict. The series will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. According to the makers, Indian Police Force pays an ode to the selfless service, unconditional commitment and fierce patriotism of police officers across the country who put everything on the line in their call of duty to keep everyone safe.

Sharing his first still from the show, Vivek wrote on Instagram, “Charged to join the best force: ‘Indian Police Force’ and be a supercop in the Rohit Shetty Cop universe! Thank you bro #RohitShetty for trusting me with this amazing role! In the show, Oberoi will feature alongside Malhotra and actor Shilpa Shetty, who will also essay the role of a cop.
Taking to Instagram, Rohit Shetty shared the news of Oberoi joining the project and shared his picture from the show’s set.
“Meet the most experienced senior officer of our squad. Welcome aboard Vivek!!! #indianpoliceforce #filmingnow” the filmmaker wrote in the caption.
Fans of the actor looked excited to watch him on screen again. A fan commented, “The best with the best. Finally!! Well deserved after so many years.” Another wrote, “Wow!! Vivek sir… its amazing to see you back.. you are always great in action movies… big fan of urs since saathiya movie.” One more said, “Eagerly waiting to see you on the screeeeeen.” A comment also read, “After a long time….this is the bestest look of yours bhai @vivekoberoi.” A fan also said, “I missed you so much sir.”
Poiting at how Vivek has usually played a baddie on screen, a fan also said, “Bhai bura mat mana aap sirf villan kay role mai zakas lagtay (Brother, don’t take me wrong but you only look good as a villain).”

The series will debut on Amazon Prime Video and it will have an eight-episode arc. The series will be jointly directed by Rohit Shetty and his Chief Assistant Director Sushwanth Prakash. The series is currently being shot in Mumbai.
