The real life nephew and uncle, Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati, have joined hands for the upcoming Netflix series Rana Naidu. The series is an official adaptation of Ray Donovan. The duo have paired up in reel-life to showcase the lives of Mumbai’s go-to fixers that take care of the dirty problems celebrities have.
Rana Dagggubati who rose to fame across India from the epic Baahubali film series will be the first time sharing screen space with his real-life uncle Venkatesh Daggubati who is also a big draw in the Tollywood industry.
Rana Naidu Story
The series is titled Rana Naidu and is said to be a remake of the popular American crime drama series Ray Donovan(2013), in which Ray the main character is seen as a fixer who arranges illegal activities like bribes, crime-scene clean up, etc, who has big-fat wealthy clients.
Things steered when his father releases from jail, now they both are on the run from the police.

In the upcoming web series, Rana is playing a Mumbai fixer and uncle Venky in his father’s role who is an ex-con.
Other actors that are going to be featured in the series are Sacred games fame Surveen Chawla, Abhishek Banerjee (TVF Pitchers, Mirzapur, Paatal Lok), Janu Tibrewal(Gal Ban Gayi), Saurav Khurana (Zayed Mirza), Abhishek Bhalerao (Inspector Malvade), and the Savdhan India host Sushant Singh is also onboard for the series, confirmed by the platform while posting the filming wraps post with the pictures of main cast members.
Rana Naidu Netflix Release Date & Teaser
Rana Naidu is a crime-drama series, directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, Karan also serves as the showrunner of the show. It is being made under the banner Locomotive Global Inc, wrapped up in May 2022.
It is expected that it would be made available by the 4th quarter of 2022 on the streaming platform as the shooting has been concluded for the same, it will be available on the platform in two languages Hindi and Telugu.
